View Options and Icons

View options can be accessed  by pressing 'V' or from the menu at the bottom of the screen.

Due to the 3 dimensional nature of the world, in a 2 dimensional screen ranges are shown with 2 rotating circles, showing  depth as well as width and height.

Not all ranges are readily visible in all views.

Ship Type Icons
Due to the vastness of space, it is not always possible to visually see all ships within scanner Range
		Unknown and Abandoned Ships
		Ships that Belong To Friendly Players
		Ships that belong to Hostile Players
		All of your ships, except your Command Ship
		Abandoned Ship
		your ship, fleet commander
		your ship, fleet member
		your ship commander of a fleet, and member of another
Other Icons
		Blink.  Like the sound barrier. The visual equivalent of the speed of light... or the speed of 1 parsec, in this case.
